Andrographis paniculata, also known as the panicle, is a centuries-old medicinal plant native to South Asia. The leaves and underground stems are used in herbal medicine for their rich composition (including andrographolides) that has beneficial effects on the body. Its bitter taste has earned it the nickname "king of bitter herbs."
