Description

St. John's wort is a plant widely distributed in the world. It occurs naturally in North Africa, West Asia, South America and Europe. In Poland it is common, it usually grows in well-sunlit places. John's wort is harvested in early April. Its name comes from the bubbles with essential oils that look like holes when held up to the light. However, St. John's wort is also known as carob or Virgin Mary's Bells.
