Glycine, or aminoacetic acid, is the simplest of all protein amino acids. It is the only one that occurs only in one spatial configuration and does not exhibit optical activity. Therefore, the name of glycine is exceptionally absent from the L- prefix, as is the case with other amino acids. It is also one of the most abundant amino acids in the human body, constituting an important structural element of proteins. It is estimated that it constitutes on average about 7% of amino acid residues in proteins. At the same time, glycine also accounts for over 30% of the amino acids contained in collagen and is one of the fundamental ingredients involved in the synthesis of this important protein.
Glycine is an endogenous amino acid, which means that the body can synthesize it on its own. It takes place mainly by synthesis from choline and also as a result of transformations of other amino acids, such as serine or alanine. As in the case of other endogenous amino acids, glycine synthesis may, however, be limited by various unfavourable factors, such as disease states that interfere with its synthesis or an unbalanced, protein-poor diet.
Aliness Glycine is especially recommended for people exposed to a deficiency of this amino acid, and people on a low-protein diet, e.g. vegan or vegetarian.
Aliness Glycine does not contain any animal ingredients, making it a vegan-friendly source of glycine. The product does not contain any artificial technological additives, preservatives or dyes.

“The strong point of Aliness products is the best quality raw materials, which is why it is a market leader in many product lines.”
